Dear Students, I am so sorry to not be at school today. My daughter woke up sick and I have to stay home with her. In an effort to make sure you're doing something worthwhile today, I would like for you to start planning for our big project we will complete next semester. You will be in charge of creating an optical illusion. Later we will research how to explain what is happening in the brain to create the illusion. For now, you need to find something you would like to physically create in class or in the Maker Lab. Mr. Solin has agreed to let us use the Maker Lab where we can use 3D printers, wood carvers, vinyl cutters- lots of possibilities here. So dream big! First, you will need to find an illusion that you would like to spend time bringing to life. There are many online- like the ones I showed you at the beginning of the year. It should be three dimensional. At the end of class today, please upload your top three ideas into a google doc (include pictures or video with the ideas) and then upload it to the sharetracker. This will be completed individually during this phase so everyone needs to upload to the sharetracker today. Finally, as far as the exam goes, I have included a link to a study guide I created for you. It is more of an outline and a shell of ideas you need to know about. Compare it to what you created last night and make sure you have included all important topics. We will review in class tomorrow so come with any questions you might have as you review. Have a great day! Wish I was there with you! HW: Reflect + Study NOTE: This is the link to the parody songs from class yesterday. The editing at the end is a little off but I can't get the new version to save for some reason. My apologies! |
